Rev. Fr. Tom Pistolis, Presiding Priest


Father Tom was born in Hendersonville, North Carolina. He obtained a Master of Divinity degree from the Orthodox seminary in Boston, Holy Cross. He was assigned to Houston for two years, then Knoxville, and finally to Greenville, in 1987. He oversaw the construction of Saint George Greek Orthodox Cathedral built from 1992 to 1995.

Rev. Dn. Charles (Haralambos) Joiner


Fr Charles was ordained as a permanent deacon in 2007. He has a masters in Orthodox Theology from Balamand University in Lebanon and Ph.D. in Adult Learning and Change. He also has a masters in Engineering and served in various executive positions with major business organizations. He conducts the Adult Catechism classes and other Adult learning programs, publishes the Bulletin, and assists the Priest as needed.


Rev. Fr. Zacharias Thornbury


Fr. Zacharias is the son of a career Air Force father and has been blessed to live in many different places across this country. He holds a B.A. in Philosophy from the University of Illinois at Springfield, and a Master of Divinity from Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology in Brookline, MA. He was ordained to the priesthood on June 24, 2017 and he, along with his wife Amanda, and two children, Elijah and Kassiani, are proud to serve the community of Saint George.
